Jennifer Anne F. Messing 

 

(aka JENNIFER ANNE FABREGAS MESSING) is a multi-award-winning inspirational and romance fiction author, poet, speaker, vocalist, graphic designer, and past president of the Oregon Christian Writers now known as Cascade Christian Writers, (e-mail: JenniferAnneMessing@comcast.net). She graduated with honors from Covington Theological Seminary in Rossville, Georgia, USA, with a bachelor's degree in Christian Education, and received an honors diploma in Journalism and Short-Story Writing from International Correspondence Schools.

She has authored three award-winning books and over 250 short stories, articles, and poems published in 75 different magazines and book compilations, including USA best-selling magazine, Woman's World; and Guideposts' Mornings with Jesus, Today's Christian Living, Bible Advocate, Micromance,  CafeLit, The Gift, SunKissed, Romancing the Soul, Nudges from God, Pure Joy Journal, The Proverbs 31 Woman, Evangel, LIVE, Standard, and Glittery Literary.

Her latest and third book, LOVE'S FAITHFUL PROMISE: Heart-Stirring Short Stories and Poems of Romance and Faith (print and ebook) was named WINNER of the 2020 American Fiction Awards "Christian: Inspirational" category. Ms. Messing is a TWO-TIME WINNER of the Cascade Writing Contest "Published Short Story" category (in 2018 and 2023), and she is a seven-time TOP FINALIST in the same competition.

Her second book, EVERLASTING LOVE: Romantic Vignettes for a Woman's Heart (print and ebook), a collection of short stories and poetry, was a TOP FINALIST in three book competitions in 2016: the National Indie Excellence and Virtue Christian Book Awards 'Short Stories' category, and the Beverly Hills Book Awards 'Romance' category.

 

Her poetic devotional book, MORNING'S PROMISE: Poetic Moments in His Presence (print and ebook) was an award-winning TOP FINALIST in the "Poetry: Inspirational" category of the 2013 International Book Awards.

Born in Manila, Philippines to parents active in international business, she spent many of her childhood years in the Philippines and in Chicago, Illinois. Jennifer Anne currently lives in Oregon and has been married to the love of her life, Michael Messing, for 35 years. They are the parents of two young adult daughters (one is married); and a married son who is a (former) U.S. Marine Reservist and is now a musician, and they are Paps and Nana to four young grandchildren. When not writing she enjoys reading, watching classic movies, home decorating, cooking, bowling, biking, and traveling with her family.
